Operated through subsidiary Minera Bell Coast S.A. de C.V.

Copalquin Property, Durango. The historic Copalquin Mining District is located very near the juncture of Durango, Sinaloa and Chihuahua and the 6,097 ha property package was acquired by Bell Coast in early 1997 when it came out of National Reserve status. Copalquin has at least 23 old mines on it, the major past producers being: El Refugio, El Cometa, La Soledad, Los Reyes, Dan Manuel, Dos Hijos and Dios Padres. Estimated past production prior to the Mexican revolution was around 250,000 oz Au and 11 million oz Ag. Mineralization occurs largely in low and high angle mineralized fault breccias. The property has never been drilled. Seventeen shallow-angle diamond core NQ holes were drilled to test flat-lying near-surface quartz-breccia zones. Some spectacular multi-oz Au per ton results were obtained at the La Soledad Mine which has been shut down since 1910. Six holes totaling 336 m were drilled in the El Cometa Zone. More erratic high-grade pockets were hit. In early November, 1998 Bell Coast asked VSE to halt trading temporarily until results can be put into perspective. Final results announced 20Nov98. No news since.
