King Midas was incorporated in June, 1999 and as of late 2001 is trying to get listed on the CDNX. One of their listing properties in their prospectus is located in southern Sonora State.

Las Lajas Property, Sonora. Optioned from PD who controls large portions of the 12,000 hectare property package through an option from Minera Cascabel S.A. de C.V. Property was evaluated as the Crystal Project by Teck Resources in the early 1990's (no drilling) and then by Glamis in the mid 1990's (30 shallow track-mounted percussion drill holes). PD picked up property from Cascabel and did extensive grid soil sampling of 1650 samples on 50m spacing along 24 parallel lines 200m apart. An open-ended Au-As anomaly was defined having dimensions of 5,000 m by 4,000 m and high values of 1550 ppb Au and 1400 ppm As.
