Minera Cortez's activities in Mexico have been on ice for the last couple of years.

Minera Cortez Resources Ltd.    MIM   (TSX)

Operates in Mexico through 100% owned subsidiary Cortez Exploraciones de Mexico S.A. de C.V.

Lomo del Oro Concession, Baja California Norte. Drilled it and dropped back to La Cuesta it in Jan-Feb, 2000. Lomo was a 3,000 hectare concession located 78 km S of Ensenada on the west coast of Baja. Optioned from Noroccindental de Mexico S.A. de C.V. for $60K/year and a 2% nsr. This prospect has evidence of epithermal-style chalcedonic Au-Ag stockwork veining hosted in volcanics and volcanoclastic sediments.

La Adelita Cu-Au Project, Sonora. Located in southern Sonora near Alamos, this 80 hectare concession is totally surrounded by a much larger 3000 ha claim called "Alamos" which is controlled by AZCO. The La Adelita claim was optioned to AZCO by Cortez. Additional ground to the west called "Silverado" was staked in the area in November, 1998 for AZCO. Geochem sampling and geophysics were done in 1999 and drilling was planned for 2000h however this project collapsed in 2000 when Minera Cortez's interests shifted from mining in Mexico to cyberspace, oil and gas in Southern California and wind generated power. AZCO's interests also are focused elsewhere. Property reverted to underlying owner.
