Monarch Resources Limited was delisted. They vended their Mexican assets to Hecla Mining Company and Hecla is presently mining away on the Francine Vein in Durango..

Monarch Resources Limited   (delisted)

Wholly-owned Mexican subsidiary was Monarch Resources de Mexico S.A. de C.V. who opened an office in Durango City in August 1995 to explore for hot-spring epithermal targets in Durango and Zacatecas. As of Dec. 31, 1995 Monarch controlled 100% of 13 projects totaling in excess of 100,000 ha. (Annual report and MBD Feb. '97). In 2Q99 Monarch divested in all it's Mexican and Venezuelan mining assets through an outright sale to Hecla. This sale was completed on 25Jun99. See Hecla Mining Company for project details. Last traded on Feb. 8, 2000.

Temazcal Au Property, Durango. Acquired a 100% working interest in 2,300 ha. claim block generally to the north, but basically totally enclosed in the 60,000 ha Saladillo holdings. It was a historic mercury producer from epithermal mineralization in silicified rhyolites. (NOTE: Monarch dropped this claim at the end of 1998 due to un-resolvable surface ownership issues therefore ownership did not transfer to Hecla as part of their 2Q99 acquisition.)
