Canadian Mines Handbook 2001-2002 does not include any Mexican interests for Aurado. Active projects apparently were located in Ontario and Val d'Or District, Quebec.

Aurado Exploration Ltd.  AEO   (TSE)

Acquired all the mining assets of T&H Resources (THE:VSE) on 29Jun97 when T&H decided to exclusively pursue oil and gas interests. In Mexico these included joint control (50/50 with Jonpol Explorations) of Aumex S.A. de C.V.  Note that Aurado picked up 1,075,000 shares of Jonpol Explorations at the same time. Aumex S.A. de C.V. in turn controlled the La Dura and La Viruela properties in Sonora back in the mid '90's and reported area contains 3 zones with total of >25 M tonnes averaging 1.25 gpt Au and 7.5 gpt Ag. Aurado's Mexican interests were looked after by Oscar Sansores. (Old Prospector figures that is where the connection with Cominco was made - see below.)

Zacatecas and SLP Massive Sulfide Play: Aurado Exploration Ltd. ("Aurado") is pleased to announce that it has signed a Letter of Understanding with Cia. Minera Constelación S. A. de C. V. ("Constelación") a wholly owned subsidiary of Cominco Ltd on eight base metal and silver properties encompassing 21,543 ha within Zacatecas and San Luis Potosi States. Two of these properties are adjacent to and immediately west of the Western Copper Holdings Limited Teck Corporation San Nicholas Massive Sulphide Discovery and may lie in the same mafic felsic volcanic sequence. Airborne surveys and detailed IP were conducted prior to diamond drilling to test favorable Chilitos Formation volcanic sequence. Aurado completed seven diamond drill holes totaling 1,927 meters in 4Q98 on the Amapola, Venaditas and Piedrotas properties. These are three of the eight properties in the joint venture. The drill program was designed to investigate various targets defined by geophysical and geological programs.

Amapola (3194 ha): Cominco Mexico S.A. de C.V., a wholly owned subsidiary of Cominco Ltd. has diamond drilled the Amapola property, one of eight in the joint venture. The drill program was designed to investigate targets that were defined in geophysical and geological programs. At least three vertical diamond drill holes are planned to test coincident chargeability, gravity and magnetic signatures on the Amapola property. The four holes on Amapola were located mainly to test geophysical anomalies developed over a 5 x 3 km area in the northern part of the claim. It was considered that volcanic stratigraphy favorable for VMS type mineralization was present at shallow depths. These four holes yielded geologically surprising results; the first being that the stratigraphic section intersected was almost entirely in sedimentary rocks: no volcanic rocks similar to those outcropping a few km to the north were seen. Sufficient pyrite and/or pyrrhotite (4-6%) were observed in the four holes to explain the IP and magnetic anomalies. The second surprise was to locate the presence of brecciation, alteration and anomalous Pb, Zn, Ag, As,and Sb values in the two eastern holes (AM 02,03). The breccias are best developed in AM 02 between 30 and 230 m and in hole AM 03 between 60 and 270 m. Anomalous Pb, Zn ,Ag values were best developed in AM 02 between 95 and 285 m. The best 8 intervals, between 1 and 6 m in length, are given in the following table. Highest values were 2.3 % Pb, 1.9 % Zn and 122 parts per million (``ppm'') Ag. Mineralization is associated with galena and sphalerite in stockwork type veins and breccias. Hole AM 03 contained high As (3100 ppm) and high Sb (233 ppm) associated with silicification between 243 and 274 m. It would appear from the evidence in holes AM 02 and AM 03 that these holes are in the vicinity of a heat source. This area is characterized by higher resistivity and lower residual gravity values and should be tested for Ag, Pb, Zn mineralization. Following up on the successful Phase I diamond drilling is a Phase II RC program to begin Feb. 25. Nine holes are being permitted. This will test a 1700 by 200 high-chargeability and gravity low area over Guerrero Terrain volcanics located E and S of holes 98-2 and 98-3...

Venaditas (2365 ha): Gravity and magnetic profiles over the coincident IP anomalies on the Venaditas and Piedrotas claim blocks southwest of the Teck/Western Copper San Nicolas mineral copper/zinc sulphide deposit, have defined two circular residual gravity anomalies over mafic volcanic units. Both anomalies are interpreted to be 150 meters from surface and warrant a diamond drill test. Two holes were located on Venaditas to test Gradient Array and Dipole-Dipole IP anomalies with chargeability similar to that obtained over the San Nicholas discovery (10 - 15 mrads). The area is underlain by sediments and volcanics containing altered rhyolite porphyry. This environment is considered favourable for VMS style mineralization. Hole VE 01 was also located over a combined magnetic and gravity anomaly. No significant anomalous values were obtained in either hole. The gravity anomaly remains unexplained but enough pyrite was found to explain the IP anomaly. Hole VE 01 was entirely in sediments but VE-02 intersected in its upper part 140 m of rhyolite, intermediate to mafic volcanics and microdiorite. It appears that a downfaulted block of volcanic stratigraphy is preserved on the southern part of the Venaditas property. Consideration may be given to further drill testing of the E-W belt of anomalous gradient array IP that straddles the volcanics.

Piedrotas (189 ha) One hole was drilled on the property to test a Dipole-Dipole IP anomaly located at 150 m depth. The area showed mafic and felsic volcanic outcrops on surface. Unfortunately, this turned out to be no more than a ``skim'' of volcanics and the hole intersected a sedimentary section with 3-6% pyrite: enough to explain the IP anomaly

El Garabato (3600 ha) Recommended reconnaissance gravity and airborne magnetics located on the eastern part of the Garabato claim (one of the other five claim groups in the joint venture) an area with coincident gravity high and a magnetic anomaly. Follow-up gravity, magnetics and IP were done. A drill hole may test area in late Feb. 99.
