Blackstone has now amassed a property portfolio of over 400,000 acres in the Coronation Gulf Diamond District and has acquired a 38,000 acre claim block in the Otish Mountain region of Quebec. Apparently not much going on down south in 2002.

La Turquesa/El Diamante Properties, Guazapares District, Chihuahua. Company optioned property located 55 km NW of San Francisco's El Sauzal property and 85 km SE of Manhattan's Moris Mine. Subsequently JV'ed this option with Insular Explorations Ltd. Many old Au-Ag vein mines and prospects are within district. Detailed structural and alteration study using Landsat is underway. Includes both the La Turquesa (42, 827 ha). and El Diamante (8,151 ha) concessions in the Guazapares District. The 120 tpd La Currita Mine is 10 km west of the El Diamante claim. At La Currita production reportedly comes from a 10 m wide quartz vein running 2.5 grams Au and 120 grams Ag. Geology is typical Lower and Upper Series Volcanics of the Sierra Madre. Landsat studies commissioned, Field crews mobilized this fall. Mapping and sampling completed on Encino Gordo Zone. Over 400 soil and 400 rock chip samples collected. Good data including maps is on Blackstone's website.
