ConSil was basically just another vehicle for Hecla to pick up Ag properties, but the wheels never got any traction in Mexico.  On May 17, 2002 ConSil completed a merger with Lumalite Inc. a manufacturer of advanced medical devices for the dental industry and name was changed to Lulalite Holdings, Inc.

ConSil Corporation

Mexican operating company is Minera ConSil S.A. de C.V.

Hecla Mining Company was ConSil's majority shareholder and as of 12/31/95 owned 78.45% of company. Corporate restructuring of ConSil complete as of Feb. '97. According to Mining Business Digest: Nov., 1997 ConSil announced on 9Oct97 that it had suspended exploration and acquisition activities because of the low gold price. As of March 1, 2001 Hecla still held 7,418,300 shares or 78.5% of company. (Looks like this thing is basically sitting on the shelf.)

Chalchihuites District, Zacatecas. Planned to purchase properties located about 90 km NW of Fresnillo from Minas La Colorada S.A. de C.V. As we all know this spectacular asset eventually went to Pan American Silver and they are busily making the most of it. Closing the deal was subject to ConSil raising not less that $6 million by 1Aug97. (That deadline came and went - Minas La Colorada terminated exclusive option on 19 August, but because they were nice guys they agreed to try and continue to work with ConSil). Acquisition included Candelaria Ag Mine with 600,000 oz Ag production capacity and adjacent Recompensa Mine. Estimated that reserves in 7 breccia pipes 12 million tonnes at 83 grams Ag, 2.7% Zn, 2.7% Pb. Watts Griffis and McOuat determined in November, 1996 that proven and probable reserves in Candelaria and Recompensa mines combined are 1.068 M tonnes at 485 gpt Ag, 0.3 gpt Au, 1.1% Pb and 1.0% Zn with an additional inferred resource of 820,000 tonnes at 520 gpt Ag, 0.3 gpt Au, 2% Pb and 2% Zn. ConSil planed to increase production to about 450 tpd which translates to 2 million ounces of Ag/yr. Exploration tried to define reserves sufficient to carry 1000 tpd operation.

Ojo Caliente District, Zacatecas. Terminated its agreement with Minera Portree de Zacatecas on this property. Feels potential is significant, but doesn't fit in current portfolio of commitments in Mexico for ConSil. Had purchased option to earn a 50% interest in 10,000 ha. Ag-Au vein exploration project from Hecla in December, 1995. Located E of Zacatecas.
