Looks like First Choice's priorities at the moment are the Caicara Tantalum Project in Brazil. Between January 15 and February 15, 2002 a program of shallow percussion drilling (509 metres in 31 holes), mapping and channel sampling was carried out on two tantalum prospects know as Ouro Preto and Trigueiro. Not much going on in Mexico.

Decided not to proceed with acquisition of El Magistral-La Suerte Au-Ag-Cu vein deposit in La Rastra District, Sinaloa due to difficult access and need for immediate production by vendor. Evaluated it under a 3-month option. Appears to be focused on Canada with nothing obvious going on in Mexico in 1999.
