The multi-faceted legal problems finally seemed to have run the Inde Project up on the rocks as far as Golden Hat is concerned.

Golden Hat ran into legal dispute with Minera Scorpio, the underlying claim holder in mid-1998. problem had gone into arbitration by late 1998. Arranged a non-brokered placement to continue work on this project as late as Feb 99. In CMH 2001-2002 no assets in Mexico were listed - including any interests at Inde.

Had rights to earn 55% interest in 8 claims and related tailings from Julian Mining and Gila Equipment and Mining. Legal dispute w/Lucas Knol in Supreme Court of BC. Executed option 8/20/94 on Durango Properties with family owned Minera Scorpio S.A. de C.V. Golden Hat had a 80/20 share in mine operations which was to change to 55/45 when initial operational charges were fully recovered. Present calculation of probable reserves in La Terrible tailings of around 1.1 M tonnes at 2.16 g/t Au and 75.8 gpt Ag. Guadalupe tailings are reported as 267,000 tonnes at 3.02 gpt Au and 125 gpt Ag. Golden Hat was constructing a 3.5m wide 210m long decline from surface to intersect with the Libertad Tunnel and zone of sulfide mineralization. Advance was at rate of about 4m/day.
