Golden River Resources   GDRV   (OTC Bulletin Board)

La Lajita Property, Pueblo Nuevo Mining District, Durango. Located in the Sierra Madre Occidental some 35 min inland by helicopter from Mazatlan. Municipality of Pueblo Nuevo. In preparation for a Phase II drilling program. Baltazar Solano of Behere Dolbear de Mexico mapped and sampled the property. Consultants, including geologist David St. Clair Dunn from Rob Roy Resources are managing the project and overseeing the exploration. An initial program of 943.9 m of HQ diamond drilling was carried out by Britton Brothers between 4/21 and 6/2/99. First area tested was Dos Hermanos zone where past sampling returned 50 gpt Au over 2m within a larger 20m wide mineralized zone. This area dips moderately to the SW and is conformable with the contact zone between the Upper and Lower Volcanic sequences. Chemex Labs of Vancouver did assays. The initial DDH was completed with HQ drilled in 13 holes. The highest gold silver values were encountered in LL-99-6 where 5.64 g/t Au and 64 g/t Ag were returned over 4.2m. The best values were encountered near the extension of a fault which contains the "El Sol" qtz-amethyst vein thought to represent the feeder to the Dos Hermanos ZOne. Mre drilling planned after the rainy season.
