ICAN is long gone and lost in cyberspace. Adios Muchachos!!

ICAN Minerals Ltd.

Changed name from ICAN Minerals Ltd. to Net Resources Inc. on 23Dec98 and consolidated shares on a 6:1 basis. Changed name again from Net Resources Inc. to Backbone Software Incorporated on April 5, 2000 and is now engaged in providing storage management software solutions

Operated in Mexico through 100% owned subsidiary Minerales ICAN S.A. de C.V.

MBD January, 1999

Scrubbed merger discussions with Laminco Resources in October, 1997. According to November MBD It said it "would continue to look for a merger partner with proven reserves that can be advanced to production". (The Old Prospector wonders what that makes Laminco's San Antonio/Luz del Cobre Cu-Ox property - chopped liver?)

Algun Dia Property
, Guanajuato. This 190 Ha property is 30 km E of the shoe-manufacturing city of Leon. A 100% interest was obtained on Cu-Au-Ag prospect near "Reserva Minera Leon-Guanajuato" area. Ican plans to acquire adjoining areas as soon as the government declares it open for staking. Veins hosted in marine volcanics. Described as 30 to 100m wide Au-Ag-Cu mineralized area with strike of 1.5 km. Stockworks contain chalcopyrite, specularite and Cu-carbonates. Geologic mapping, sampling, IP & mag surveys, trenching all led to drilling. Initially Phase I was planned for 10 to 15 holes totaling around 2000m. Reports Phase I was completed and consisted of mapping, trenching, sampling and geophysics followed by only 4 DDH testing two anomalous areas. AD97-001 was 215m, AD97-002 208.85m so max program probably < 1000m. The first zone returned anomalous but insignificant intersections of cpy and py. The second zone near the old workings intersected two mineralized structures with assays up to 2.26% Cu and 40 gpt Ag.

Phase II drilling planned to test the EW continuation of this zone. Hole DDH-97-008 encountered semi-massive sulfides at 58m which continued to 137.5 m where the hole was temporarily stopped due to loss of circulation. The structure which after convergence with the low-angle zone appears to be steeply dipping similar to the more easterly zone which was drilled in late 1997. Assays pending. Silicified andesite breccia mineralized with specular hematite, chalcopyrite and minor pyrite. So far 300 m of strike of mineralized structure has been tested. DDH 98-009 collared Jan 26, 1998.
