MacMillan Gold Corporation aggressively entered the Mexican exploration scene in late 2002 is a junior resource company focused on the exploration and advancement of gold and silver assets primarily in Mexico.

Works in Mexico through it's 100% owned subsidiary Exploracion Mac Ore S.A. de C.V.

La Violetta Ag-Ag Project, Sonora. Acquired by staking the 524 hectare denuncio is approximately 12 km. east of the Alamo Dorado project of Corner Bay Silver Inc.

Historic reports indicate that the La Violetta prospect consists of multiple veins and splays with underground workings along high grade mineralized zones. La Violetta as presently known is a robust vein system with high grade shoots and veins ranging from one to six meters in width. The most advanced of these was defined by underground exploration along 800 meters of strike and is reported to average 3100 to 4260 grams Ag per tonne across 2.0 meters along this length along with significant associated base metals. The bonanza silver-gold vein systems occur within a larger envelope of alteration which will be tested for a more extensive disseminated target. MacMillan is
encouraged by initial precious metal values obtained in check samples done on the La Violetta Silver/Gold Property and plans an exploration program of soil and rock geochemistry, geological mapping and trenching with the purpose of advancing the property to the drilling stage.

Tetasiari Property, Sonora. The Tetasiari option, Sinaloa, is a well located 724 ha prospect (15 km ssw of the Alamo Dorado Deposit) selected by geological criteria for its similarity to the Alamo Dorado. This target is disseminated gold and silver in an extensive siliceous muscovite schist zone with quartz breccias. The Tetasiari target was initially identified as an extension of the silicified and potassic altered assemblage of the Alamo Dorado district in a similar host assemblage and relationship to the Sinaloa Batholith. Initial rock sampling confirmed the presence of anomalous gold (traces to 2.0 grams per tonne) and silver (traces to 14 grams per tonne). Widely spaced soil samples and geological mapping showed that this anomalous zone can be mapped and warrants testing along a minimum of 4 km of strike. Within the target zone is a core of intensely brecciated and silicified metasediments, which are associated with historic alluvial gold workings. MacMillan Gold plans a program of detailed geological mapping, soil and rock sampling and trenching to advance this large and well located target to the drill stage. The objective of this program is a very large low grade gold - silver target similar to the Alamo Dorado discovery, although the initial sampling suggests the target will have a stronger endowment of gold than silver.

Cerro de Oro Au-Ag Project, Zacatecas. The Cerro de Oro Gold/Silver Property is located 8 km WSW of Concepcion del Oro near the northern end of Zacatecas state in Mexico. Part of the property is optioned from Penoles. The region is well known for its silver, gold and copper mining activity, is readily accessible, has an eager and qualified work force and excellent logistics. The geological setting is dominated by a 3 km wide volcanic center/ vent complex with brecciated rhyolite and dacite facies, moderate to strong pervasive argillic, silicic and sericitic alteration, and disseminated sulphides. Precious metal rich replacement and vein deposits are present along the contact of this complex with the enclosing limestones. Data provided by Penoles and MacMilllan’s consultants demonstrate the presence of strong gold and silver values along with associated suite of
elements including Zn, Pb, As, Sb and Hg. This is a very attractive setting for breccia hosted and disseminated gold and silver deposits. Most of the brecciated complex is recessive and covered by conductive alluvial cover, and the exposures on three sides of this 2 km by 3 km covered area show anomalous to ore grade gold and silver values (gold values from 100 ppb to 4.8 grams per tonne; silver values from 10 to > 100 grams per tonne). The project area has been the subject of an evaluation program by Fresnillo including geological mapping, rock geochemical sampling and two IP (induced polarization) lines. Fresnillo was exploring for a possible copper porphyry target but realized that that the environment and geochemical signature was more consistent with a disseminated precious metals prospect. The targets had not been tested by drilling as of 3Q02 but by 3Q04 this project had been drilled.

El Soccoro Au-Ag Property, Jalisco. El Soccorro is an old (pre revolutionary) silver mining district between Jilotlan de los Dolores and Santa Maria del Oro in southern Jalisco state. The El Soccorro Property is covered by a 200 hectare exploration concession, which covers high grade vein and disseminated silver mineralized zones.  This significant new silver prospect was acquired by direct staking subject to a finder’s fee agreement with local prospectors. The property can be readily advanced through a proposed program of geochemical sampling, mapping, trenching and potential subsequent drilling.

Fiebre de Oro Au-Ag Property, Jalisco. Fiebre de Oro is a 1700 hectare property in the Yerbabeuna area of southern Jalisco state. It was also acquired by direct staking subject to a finder’s fee arrangement with local prospectors. The property covers numerous prospect areas with high grade veins and extensive mineralized breccias in Tertiary volcanic rocks intruded by quartz monzonite stocks. This area with many small high grade prospects has not been well represented in any published reports to date. The breccia targets are a new discovery, which we feel can be readily advanced to the drill ready stage after a program of prospecting, mapping, soil geochemistry and trenching.
